Lisa attended Ohio University and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2003. She always wanted to work in a helping field and also planned on obtaining her master's degree when she finished her undergraduate work. So, when the professor of her Alternative Health class at O.U. mentioned a school in Columbus that offered a master's level program in acupuncture, she knew she had found the occupation she was looking for.
Lisa's Professional Masters Level Acupuncture Certificate was obtained at the American Institute of Alternative Medicine (AIAM), in Columbus, Ohio. Lisa attributes her exceptional educational experience to her Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Professors, all of whom are doctors of oriental medicine and have practiced in China prior to teaching at AIAM. She herself has studied abroad in Beijing, China. Her clinical experience from Guang An Men Teaching Hospital was invaluable to understanding and practicing acupuncture.
Acupuncture is not only great for treating all types of pain, but many, many other conditions. Lisa thinks that acupuncture is the most rewarding job she could have because it is an excellent first treatment option that can be used to possibly avoid surgery. It also gives people hope in being well again when they thought they were out of treatment options. Being the only TCM Acupuncturist in the area, Lisa is very excited to be able to offer a new therapy to the Findlay area and the surrounding communities.
